I've always been fascinated by Greek myths and a little frustrated, if I'm being honest. These stories are scattered in tiny pieces throughout literature, some so dispersed as though time weathered them away into fine sand. Nevertheless, I've always enjoyed building sandcastles, so welcome to my world of untold stories, as told by the master poet Apollo.
As a child, I loved to write stories and make books. Who doesn't love cutting up old boxes and fashioning a book cover with masking tape?
Speaking of book covers, illustrating the cover for my books fulfilled my lifelong dream to be an illustrator. For Hercules and the Twelve Labors, I sketched out and digitally colored three different versions. The final cover design was a favorite among many, including my daughter, niece, and nephew. Admittedly it was not my favorite, nor my son's. Still, I love the cover because it depicts a scene from the story— one I truly enjoyed writing. To find out which one, well...you'll just have to read the book.
